Financial Education · Kuala Lumpur
A calm place to look at your money — clearly, and at your own pace.
Small-group courses for Malaysians at or approaching 40, who would like to understand their own finances without pressure or performance.
Our Programmes
Three courses. Each one stands on its own.
Each programme addresses a particular moment in one's financial life. You may take one, or follow the sequence over time.
The Marble Counter: A First Inventory
A four-week introductory course in which the central exercise is to lay one's household money plainly on the counter — a careful written record of accounts, balances, recurring outflows, and current intentions. Conducted in small groups with a written summary after each session.
- Household money record
- Small group with facilitator
- Written summary each session
Reading Statements Plainly
A six-week course on reading everyday financial paperwork — bank statements, EPF statements, credit card statements, insurance schedules, and unit trust documents — in plain English. Each week covers one document type, attending carefully to the items that often go unread.
- EPF & insurance schedules
- Class capped at twelve
- Plain-language explanations
Long-Horizon Retirement Engagement
A six-month programme that takes a considered view of retirement — EPF strategy, supplementary savings, insurance review, healthcare cost provisioning, and a thoughtful withdrawal sequence across a two- to three-decade horizon. Monthly private sessions, midway review, written closing summary.

- EPF, insurance, healthcare planning
Why Lestari Cendekia
What makes the difference, in plain terms.
Small, unhurried groups
Class sizes are capped so that questions are welcomed, not deferred. You are not one of thirty.
Grounded in real documents
Courses work with the actual statements and schedules you already have — not hypothetical scenarios.
Plain, patient language
No jargon assumed. Terms are introduced when needed, explained once, and reinforced throughout.
No sales, no products
Lestari Cendekia does not sell financial products. The only purpose of each session is education.
Written summaries
Each session ends with a brief written record so that what was discussed does not drift away between meetings.
Malaysian context throughout
EPF, KWSP, Amanah Saham, Takaful — the course material reflects the financial instruments Malaysians actually hold.

Questions
What people usually ask before enrolling.
Do I need a finance background to join?
No prior knowledge is assumed. The courses are written for people who manage their own money — not for those who already work in finance. If you can read a bank statement, you have enough to begin.
How are sessions conducted?
Sessions are held in person at our Mont Kiara premises. The introductory course meets weekly in a small group. The retirement programme involves monthly one-to-one sessions with your assigned facilitator.
What is the size of a typical group?
The introductory course runs with a facilitator and a small group. The statements course is capped at twelve participants. The retirement programme is conducted as a single track with individual monthly sessions.
Do you sell financial products or investment plans?
We do not. Lestari Cendekia is a financial education provider only. We are not licensed to sell or advise on financial products, and we do not do so. Our income comes from course fees alone.
Can I join a course mid-way through a cohort?
Enrolments are taken at the start of each cohort. We do not admit participants part-way through, as each session builds on the previous one. We can add you to a waiting list for the next intake.
What do I receive at the end of a course?
Each course ends with a written summary of the key points covered. The retirement programme includes a written closing summary of your individual situation as discussed across the six months. We do not issue certificates of completion.
How do I pay, and is there a refund policy?
Payment details are shared upon enrolment confirmation. We ask that the full course fee be settled before the first session. Withdrawals before the second session are eligible for a partial return of fees; please enquire for the current terms.
