Our Approach

What we offer that most financial education providers do not.

A grounded, unhurried approach built for Malaysians in or near their 40s — with no products to sell and no pace to keep except your own.

At a Glance

Six things that shape everything we do.

Qualified Facilitators

All facilitators hold relevant professional backgrounds in financial planning or accounting. No one teaches here without the credentials to back it.

Capped Class Sizes

The statements course is capped at twelve. Every course is small enough for questions to be asked, answered, and followed up.

No Products, No Commission

We do not recommend, sell, or earn commission on any financial product. Course fees are our only income. This is policy, not preference.

Malaysian Financial Context

EPF, KWSP, Amanah Saham, Takaful, PTPTN — the courses work with the instruments and institutions Malaysians actually deal with.

Real Documents, Not Scenarios

Courses are built around the paperwork participants actually hold — not invented examples or generic worksheets.

Written Session Summaries

After each session, a short written record is shared with participants. What was discussed does not depend on memory alone.

In Depth

Each benefit, explained more fully.

Professional Expertise

Facilitators who have spent careers working with money — not just teaching about it.

Our lead facilitator spent sixteen years as a licensed financial planner before moving into education. Our statements course is led by a former accountant with broadcasting experience in financial literacy. Their qualifications are professional and verifiable, and they are reviewed when we appoint anyone new to a facilitation role.

  • Licensed financial planning background
  • Accounting and advisory experience
  • Adult education methodology

"The courses are structured around what participants need to understand — not around what would be convenient to sell them."

Noraini Rashid, Lead Facilitator

How we handle enquiries

Every enquiry is answered by a staff member — not a form auto-responder. We take time to understand where a prospective participant is, and we will tell them honestly if a course is not suited to their situation. We do not push people into programmes.

Service Standards

A response that takes your question seriously.

From first enquiry to final session, participants deal with the same small team. Shanti Pillai handles all enrolments and scheduling personally. If something comes up mid-course, there is a clear point of contact who knows the context.

  • Personal response to every enquiry
  • Named coordinator for each participant
  • Honest guidance on course suitability
Transparent Fees

Fixed course fees with no add-ons, no upsells.

The fee published is the fee charged. There is no additional material cost, no optional module purchase, no recommended product at the end. The introductory course is RM 570. The statements course is RM 1,640. The retirement programme is RM 2,820. Each includes written summaries and all session materials.

  • Published pricing, no hidden charges
  • All session materials included
  • No upsell products at conclusion
The Marble Counter: A First Inventory RM 570
Reading Statements Plainly RM 1,640
Long-Horizon Retirement Engagement RM 2,820

All fees are inclusive. No additional charges apply.

Comparison

How we compare to typical providers.

This is not a ranking of competitors. It is an honest account of how the Lestari Cendekia approach differs from what is more commonly available.

Distinctive Features

What you will not find elsewhere in quite this form.

The Written Closing Summary

The retirement programme concludes with a written summary of the participant's individual situation as discussed across the six months — not a generic handout, but a record of that specific person's circumstances and the considerations that were raised.

Annual Curriculum Updates

Malaysian financial legislation — EPF withdrawal rules, tax structures, insurance requirements — changes. Course materials are reviewed annually by the facilitation team to reflect current law, not last year's understanding of it.

Bilingual Clarity

Sessions are conducted in English, with Bahasa Malaysia used where it aids understanding — particularly for terms used on official Malaysian documents that have no clean English equivalent.

A Long View of Retirement

The retirement programme works across a two- to three-decade horizon. It covers not just the accumulation of savings, but the sequence of withdrawals, healthcare cost provisioning, and the role of part-time work — things rarely addressed at length in short courses.
